About the flags. On September 12th, I had no problem with people waving flags and honking their horns, etc. Then a few weeks later, on every street corner you'd see some person selling all sizes of flags from their cars on street corners. It became a fad...much like Elmo and Cabbage Patch Kids. It was very much like it was the "cool" thing to do. I never did it. But, then months later people have replaced the flags with stickers, and the american flag has become a staple of the marketing industry.
It's shit like this that makes me sick. I took this picture in a Home Depot near my apartment 2 months ago.
It was stuff like this that makes me sick. "Oh gee...maybe I should buy the wrench with the flag on it...because I love america". Marketing to the uneducated and the elderly.
