I hate asking for rides. Luckily my friend Dennis is an absolute friend and is willing to take me to my DMV hearing tomorrow.

My alarm clock was working, so I didn't buy another one. How lovely of it to choose today to not work again. Damn alarm light is still on and it was past the time to go off. I woke up 10 minutes before I was supposed to be at work. So I had to call Martha and get yelled at. And then I had to lay down and cry for 10 minutes. I don't cry nearly as much as I used to and I'm beginning to hate it...the crying that is. I used to enjoy a good salt-water purging. Well, not enjoy but you get the drift. So yeah, that was fun. Then as I'm getting ready, Kristen calls me and tells me that I have to cover customer service so I don't have to be in until 1pm anyway. How nice to get the advance notice. Fuckin' hell. No more staying up late to get things done, thinking 4/5 hours is enough sleep. My body, my mind's such a sleep whore...it will find a way.

So tomorrow's the big day. The day that decides if I get to frequent the MTA website, trying to figure out how long it will take me to get from North Hollywood to Culver City to Century City to Burbank and back home again. My life is joyous. Please don't pity me. Just don't get yourself in this mess. This is going to require such massively creative scheduling on my part, but it can, it will, it has to be done.

At least I got my Amélie DVD yesterday (pre-ordered when I had money) and my Jack Johnson CD today...which I am listening to and loving right now. Consider this an offical commercial for CDBaby.com. I adore that site. Not only do they send fantastic "your item has shipped" emails, but they're fast, cheap(er), and they give you a free CD with every order after your inital order. I got a single from The Groove Hogs (I have no idea...but hey, it was free).

I'm reading Michael Moore's Stupid White Men now and I highly recommend it. I also recently purchased this because I started reading it on my break and it was too good to put down.

Worldcom filed for bankruptcy. Nice. And one by one they fall, putting people out of work, consumers out of luck, and destabilizing the economy further. All because they're tied to another accounting scandal or a handful of people decided to start their own. It just doesn't seem fair.

Random: When I get married I want my reception to look like the ballroom scene from Labyrinth. :) heheheh.

Gah.

What is it about alarm clocks on Mondays? I heard mine, but shut it off, then proceeded to fall back asleep twice! Yeesh.

There's been a lot of talk on LJ recently about Labyrinth. Was it on cable or som'm?

Good luck with your hearing tomorrow, schmoo.

'Sad and beat down' is exactly how I am feeling today.

I woke up and got an IM from B and Seng and then Dennis called to tell me he is popping the question to my little sister, Franny, when they are on vacation to come visit me in the next 2 weeks.

All of a sudden a tidal wave of fatigue knocked me over and I got very introspective. I have been taking catnaps on and off today and have had only two crying jags. I think my big effin' loser complex is nailing me back up on the cross.

I hate feeling so bloody defeated.

'nuff said. (except for me it was 6th or 7th grade. can't remember.)

One of the worst months I ever spent was when my car got stolen for the second time. They'd already impounded it by the time I reported the theft, so it took that long for the impound schmucks to get back to me. In the meantime I had to impose on everyone and my brother-in-law to shuffle my car-less ass around, and take the bus through very questionable neighborhoods to get to work. You know a neighborhood is questionable when the bus driver complains in idle conversation that the MTA makes them buy their own bulletproof vests.

No pity, I promise....just sympathy. ^_^
