I am piiiiiiiissed off and it's about something lame and materialistic, but it was important to me.
When I ordered my new PC (financed from Gateway, as they gave me a credit for my old system) I ordered a digital camera as well. That camera was out of stock at the moment I ordered it and wasn't scheduled for delivery until the 9th, two days after I leave for San Fran. I wanted the camera for San Francisco, desperately. I don't have a lot of money, so I was going to have a lot of cheap (read: not immediately out-of-pocket) fun. The order was taking ridiculously long, so I cancelled it and asked if I could just go to the store and buy one. OnThePhoneSalesRep said, "Yes." I meant a GATEWAY STORE....not just ANY store. Yeah, you can't buy products from a Gateway store...not even a teeny, weeny little camera which I found out as I just wasted some of my dwindling gas supply to drive down to the nearest Gateway store in Manhattan Beach. It's partly my fault. I should have remembered my foray into a Gateway Store and realized they don't have product on hand. That, and I should have realized Gateway staff are STUPID. (okay, they're not that stupid...I'm just ang-gree.)
So, now I have to buy film, which I can't afford. Take a bunch of pictures (of which half will suck) and develop the film, which I can't afford. Sweet.
In the scheme of things, this is so insignificant...but damn if it doesn't piss me off. I was all excited about taking some cool pics of SF, my friends, and yes, even myself.
Pff, I'm so PMSing.
I think they should re-title "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"...."Buffy's Creek".
p.s.
This is the camera I am probably buying. (doubles as web-cam, has manual features, and the reviews sound good.)
