I have 425 emails in my inbox. Sometimes I just don't have the energy.
Yesterday was what I'm not calling a "bad day". Days where I'm not supposed to be PMSing, but yet I am. I've decided to start charting them. See if the waves have a pattern.
I'm a little shocked/upset about my reactions to a certain thing yesterday. I don't like tears welling up while I'm trying to talk to my professor. Given, the piece is rather private and now I feel "icky" for exploiting my inner masochist in the name of art...still, my overall mood for yesterday needs some thought...as well as seemingly random days throughout this year.
My photo was chosen to grace the invitations to our Made In China exhibition. This will look muy good for grad school, methinks.
Oh, yeah, I think I'm going to grad school. I'm hoping for Boston. MassArt looks nice, and cheaper than the others.
AND GET READY FOR TEH JEALOUSY....to cap off my jet-setting year, I'll be working in a couple stores in Brooklyn over X-mas and New Year's. $12 an hour, free flight and boarding. How awesome is that? MUY AWESOMESITO, you say.
I fucking hate medicine....stupid allergy meds make me wonky. But I'd rather be wonky than wanting to chop my damn head off.
I have photo cards for sale at two places downtown, just a start. I've done the first round of t-shirt printing and I hope to get those up by next weekend. There are a lot of holiday art shows in town, so that will work out. I'm buying the t-shirts at Goodwill to get around the sweatshop issue. I wore the American Sociopath one the other day and quite a few people are interested in buying. I worry for my finances between now and NYC.
Here are the pics of my first sculpture project. It's effing huge (by my standards). The box is....30" by....48" I think. I don't have pictures of the clay model that we started with, mine won best in class (both the model and finished piece). They were portraits based on biographies of a fellow classmate. Mine is of a girl named Lela and I wanted to show sadness, quiet, being socially aware, nature, and being hidden...in a nutshell. If you want artspeak...I can furnish it on request. (The box will be doing double-duty, as it will probably be used for a New Orleans-based piece later...and the piece of wood laying in front...that was just a guide for me, as I was going to stain the box, then thought better of it.)

Made of wood, grass, dirt, cardboard, newspaper (paper mache, and stuffed inside), used tea bags, wire, dyed string, acrylic, and LOVE.
Red Balloon To-Do tonight. Gotta get some work done before then...
