blustockingThe best, and only, good thing about today, is that I found something so great for my Mom while I was at the thrift store (community service).
See, she asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I didn't really want anything. But I know she could probably get a discount on a record player, so I asked for that. Then she started getting into it as well, which I think is really cool. So when I told her about all of the great records I found at the thrift store, she told me to get a Lily Pons (opera singer) record if I could find one. My Mother has always loved opera and secretly, I think that's what she wanted to do...she also dabbled in art and photography. She was good too, just too flighty to stick with it. Anyway, every time I was at the thrift store, I couldn't remember the name of the singer she wanted. Plus, Leo was always around and I couldn't go through the records. Well today, I went through them and nearly the first one I saw was a 3-record set of Lily Pons! I was so happy...it almost made me forget everything else that was on my mind.
I'm going to go be catatonic now.

But for now, thank you. I mean it. And not because many of you don't think I'm "vain"...but for being honest. That's all I ask for. You've given me a lot to think about.
