I have a Mystery Bruise on my knee
Mar. 26th, 2003 12:50 pmFINALLY.
I got a job!
:D
It's temporary (until June), but the pay is decent and it's with the State, which is good. The only bad thing is, it's 7 am - 3 pm. Weh. I don't care. I need a job. I need an apartment. In fact, I'm going to see if I can't find a second job while I'm at it.
I'm going to go workout and then take the dogs outside and read, enjoy my last few days of unemployment.
I had a dream about a snake again. I was cleaning my room in the old apartment, which wasn't really my old room, and saw it. I freaked out as it fell from the window-sill to the floor and I remember my mind racing with what to do. I saw it before when I was cleaning and thought it was fake. It looked small and fairly harmless, like an all-black garter snake, so I eventually caught it. It did bite me, because it had tiny FANGS. It wasn't deep, but it hurt. Staci was there. The snake morphed into some cat-like creature. Some guy with a goatee and a shaved head showed up to claim it. Shit...he said its name...I can't remember. I talked to the guy for a long time about it. The thing was even more odd-looking now, but it reminded me more of Boo, so I wasn't as scared. I think I switched dreams then, because I remember being in some medieval camp of some sort. It was like a re-enactment, but done really well. I was with friends, it seemed like some sort of school trip thing, like high school (probably because I spent the night before last reminiscing with two friends from high school). There were apparently two levels to this camp, the less-serious, just arrived that day side, and the upper levels where they had actual castles and took this very seriously. I kept getting caught with a bow and arrow (which we apparently weren't supposed to have) trying to shoot it over to the more "serious" side. I think I was caught 3 times. I wasn't trying to hit anyone. I just wanted to see how far it would go.
I, always, have dreams about snakes. I'm not scared of snakes literally...but figuratively.

Date: 2003-03-26 05:01 pm (UTC)april 10th? sometime late afternoon maybe? I get in that day around 1. I'm gonna wander around Lawrence looking lost, because the school tour is at 1.30. >_< And mah sista has to work that day. Then it's Pi Phi Fun!*puke* friday and saturday. I found a cool girl to show me around campus that saturday instead of do some run with the sorority alumni.

The 7AM-3PM gets easier as time goes by. I currently work 7AM-3:30PM and have to get up at 5AM. I hated it at first, but I've adjusted in time. It's really nice, too, to have you afternoons free.
shanks!
