I've discovered I need birth control. Not for the intended purpose, but for the happy bonuses. I've been on it for 9 years now and going off of it is a bitch...nay, I'm a bitch, more so. I have no health insurance currently, so I went off last month. Clinic, here I come.

Indeed, had a spectacular, long-awaited "epiphany" not occurred today, I'd not be this agreeable. I've been waiting for them for seven years. SEVEN YEARS. Today, everything fell into place and I know where I'm going with this story. I started writing this book when I was in high school, 2 chapters in...dead. I stopped and started for seven years after, moving on to other ideas, but always wondering how I could fix the predictability, the cookie-cutter image I kept coming up with. Today, thanks to some odd inspiration, I know. What a relief, but now the work. I went to the library after work to check out some research. Odd that the wedding books are next to the death and burial books. Yar har!
Fuck, I have so much to do.

I also got a book on pirates. And I have another journal: pirateblu So I don't continuously annoy everyone with piratey things and stupid crap. HAHA, not as much anyway. ;P Add, if you want...or become a pirate yerself, swabbie! YARRR!

How on earth did you get around LA at night on public transportation? Did you feel safe doing it? I need some girl tips.

This (http://mtaweb6.mta.net/) was the biggest help ever. There were times it was 4 buses and a subway, but I never got lost once I had this. I'd write down bus numbers and fares on little post-its. Once you ride enough, you can figure it all out, pretty much.

As for safety, I rode as late as 3 am. There were only about 3 times I can really remember being scared. Get some pepper spray, always be aware of your surroundings, and never show that you might be afraid. Have a distraction, like a book. Headphones are ideal, because then you have an excuse to annoy any creep that's trying to chat it up.

What areas will you be traveling in? What buses? How late?

I discovered that actually... we work similarly. I have a little book and that website as my tools.

I want to go out clubbing. But I am thinking of myself late at night in six inch heels in next to nothing waiting for a bus. All the clubs I would go to are the usual goth/fetish in the Hollywoodish area.

Where does one buy pepper spray?
