p.s. What the hell? I linked that particular story because it had the most horrible image.

p.p.s. Now that Pirates is out, the Haunted Mansion trailer is up too. *drool* But you probably already know that. And whaaa? Eddie Murphy? Jennifer Tilly? :/ CGI, sets, and effects look really good though. The score sounds nice as well.

The last time I rode the Haunted Mansion, I was in high school, and they had to stop the ride (right when you're in the big room looking over a balcony at moving pictures and such) because someone was smoking pot. They even made an announcement, I think, maybe I'm just making that part up. It was funny though.

I miss the haunted mansion. It was always one of my favorite rides. I loved the begining part with all the portraits.

It would've been cool if they'd actually made the movie creepy, but oh well.

Think they're gonna do space mountain next?

X-Statix is a clever and engaging satire. The Princess Di thing is weird, but it's entirely in keeping with the direction of that series--very offbeat.

Or "It's A Small World", in which the audience runs screaming from the theatre only to collapse and seizure due to that incessant song. :D

It's like you don't even believe me. Seriously, X-Statix is sharp satire in the guise of a superhero comic book. EW even gave it an A when they reviewed the series.

Oh well, the Di thing has been pulled anyway.

No, it's not that. It's that I don't care. :)
And I hate EW with an unholy passion. Their reviewers, to me, tend to be bitter, middle-aged assholes. I just linked from there because it had a readily available image.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not all up in arms about them using Di as a character...I just thought it odd, and fairly stupid. Then again, not only am I not a big superhero comic book fan, but I've not read X-Statix. So I could be missing out on a world of wonder and amusement.

I probably sounded defensive about that and didn't mean to. It is an odd and stupid idea. But exploiting and satirizing absurdities is part of the game of that series. I'm amused that they were going to do it. Maybe it was just a ploy for publicity.

S'all good.

And that very well could be.
