I've stayed at the Generator Hostel in King's Cross which is a fairly decent hostel with a late bar and servicable rooms. It's not too far from Euston and King's Cross stations and in the middle of town.
The weekend you arrive in town I'm in Southampton at an Anime Convention but I'm back in London on Monday so we can hit the town on Tuesday or something - as a complete fluke, I already had that week booked off as holiday :)
