"She's always most unattractive in the morning. With her dull dress of smog and concrete-caged river, Los Angeles, city of thousands, home to none, from the hours of 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. is the ugliest city on the face of the earth. Perhaps this ugliness is the reason I sleep through morning into the much more vibrant colors of early, sometimes late, afternoon. Perhaps...but most likely, not.
