Better to remain a mystery than attempt to explain complexity.
You'll just end up looking false and transparent...paper-thin.
You want honesty, but you'll never truly have it.

Of course there's also the fact that explaining yourself will also only cause more confusion as people don't understand your way of thinking and interpret you on their own terms. Hilarity or some sub-version of it always ensues.
