When stupid people have stupid children who, in turn, have doomed children.
That's horrible. It's only fitting that the poor kid went unaccounted for for a whole year before anyone said "hey, maybe she's missing or something!"
Who do you blame? The state, for turning the kid over to an obviously incompetent relative? The incompetent relative herself? The cops who should have been looking for her over a year ago?
And I don't see how the grandmother isn't under suspicion. Why should you report your granddaughter missing if you're the one who got rid of her?
