experimentation

There are photos of my friend's beautiful children here.

There are photos of the lovely Dax here.
More of him later...we didn't get to do the other photoshoot idea this past weekend...perhaps this one.

There are photos of the soon-to-be-stunningly-famous band, Elseworth Dragon here.

There are some photos of when I died last night here.

Enjoy.

(question though, do any of you still set your screen to 800x600?)

p.s. apparently the spammers are getting more creative. I received this comment in my blue hair album:
"Damn, the blue hair is strangely hot. I am hot right now looking at all
your pics. please email me at: freegirlstacy@hotmail.com"

And this one is just cute: (in the New Hair 4/02 album)
"i stummbled across your photograph while looking for something
emotionally depressing to put on my desktop. I find you are a amazing model.
Your work is a bit dark, but atleast you show the world a different point
of beauty from your eyes."--signed "a 16 year old boy"
.

heeee

>>Oo! Very nice. I just hope they didn't play that awful Cutting Crew song. (How do I remember this shit?! Yeesh.)

(question though, do any of you still set your screen to 800x600?

>>I do. I'm just used to it, I guess. What setting are the cool kids using nowadays?

[identity profile] blustocking.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I have been a die hard 800x600 girl, but lately, I've been useing 1024x768 more. The pictures just look better and on my flat screen monitor at home, it just looks better in general.

I look at these pictures here at work and they are all so much darker than at home. I think I need to tweak something on my flat screen, otherwise, no one will see what I'm seeing.

Your hair looks like feathers of a raven. You look so dark, mysterious and beautiful. ::swoon::

p.s. I enjoyed the PURDY pictures you took as well, but the ones of you were breathtaking. As always.

*smooch*

[identity profile] buscemi.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
When are we going to see some pictures of you? :)

(Put down the bat, please.)

[identity profile] motherevol.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
You are already seeing them right now, buscemi.

:P *pbbt*

[identity profile] buscemi.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I meant your face, smartypants. (Something told me I should've been more specific.)

[identity profile] motherevol.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Here you go.

In case you were unaware, my eye is a major feature on my face.
Are you happy now?

PICTURES PLEASE!

THANK YOU!

;)

p.s. don't hurt me.

[identity profile] buscemi.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe she'll listen to you, at least. :)

[identity profile] blustocking.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
waaaaaait....I don't see any pictures of YOU either.
*taps foot*

[identity profile] buscemi.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
You will soon. :)

I need to delete files from my AOL site, since those Tripod bastards won't let me link to photos. Grrrr.

[identity profile] motherevol.livejournal.com 2002-05-22 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
I saw a pic of Mr. Stiffy before.

He is mighty pointy and sharp.
;)

Yep. 800x600 here, because I am BLIND.

[identity profile] ex-sia857.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 05:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I already saw them! I had my Dick Tracy hat on earlier; I was just waiting for you to advertise them before I said anything. :)

Stunning! Yay!!!!

When I have more time, I will bore you with all my picks.

I can tell you right off, though, that I loved the shots of Dax by the fountain and I loveloveloved the shot of you smiling.

Oh! And I liked the jammy picture of Dax, too!

Re: Yep. 800x600 here, because I am BLIND.

[identity profile] blustocking.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
wicky-wicky!

No, no, not boring...I want your input. Yes, I LOVE the fountain shots and the jammie-shot as well. :D

I look effed up with that makeup though. It made my eyes look much more wide-set. O_o
But thank you, verra verra much. :)

I go 800 x 600

[identity profile] haddob.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
But only because I have a crappy monitor. When I get a new one I'll probably have it at 1024 x 768. I'm really tired, but I hate taking NAPS. Nap-a-roonis.

no, you go "snort snort honk weeeeeeeeeeoooooooooo! weeeeeeeoooooooo!"

[identity profile] blustocking.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 06:01 pm (UTC)(link)
TAKE A FREAKIN' NAP, YA HOSER!

I'm going to go give blood here in a minute.
I've never done that before.

>>What do they say if you want it back afterwards?

[identity profile] blustocking.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
damn...I should have asked.

Well...

[identity profile] buscemi.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
...at least you know for next time.

Hair! And pixels! And stubble! And-! *thump*

[identity profile] neobitch.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
My monitor's set to 1152x864, since 1024x728 doesn't give me enough room, and my eyes can't handle 1280x1024 until I get new glasses.

When it comes to business/meant-for-everyone sites, I design for 800x600, since the majority of the world still seems to be trapped in it. (17+ inch monitors for EVERYONE, dammit.) I went with 1024x728 for my homepage, though, just 'cause I could.

The pics are verra wonderful, btw. Have I mentioned recently that I want your hair? ;) No more pics of Dax with stubble, though. Please. It's hell on my blood pressure.

Re: Hair! And pixels! And stubble! And-! *thump*

[identity profile] blustocking.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
*shaves head* HERE YOU GO!

;)

Thank yoooooooooou. :)
I promise the next pics won't have stubble.
>;)

[identity profile] aubreycolors.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Excellant pictures. I'd love to know more about what settings you used on the LV pictures.

...and you, beautiful as always.

Re:

[identity profile] blustocking.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
SETTINGS?! WE DON NEED NO STINKIN' SETTINGS!
I haven't even touched the manual or played with the manual settings. Those are all just the camera's photo effects, luck, and a decent eye.

WHA-CHOW!

Thank you. *blush*

Re:

[identity profile] aubreycolors.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
flash or no flash?

Your photos give me a lot to strive for. Seriously. The photos you have shown...even the ones on your old analog camera plus the ones that Sia has taken inspire me. Not to sound all cheesy or anything, but they have.

Re:

[identity profile] blustocking.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)
bah, not cheesy. :)

hmmm...there was a mixture of flash. That is definitely something I have to experiment more with, as there are 4 options, No Flash, Low, Normal, or High. I tend to like the bleached out look for myself, but Mista Dax looked best with none or low.

Re:

[identity profile] aubreycolors.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
One other thing I am interested in, but guess this can only be answered if we compare cameras. When not using the flash in a dark setting, how long does it take your camera to focus vs. mine. I would assume yours would be a lot faster since it is a newer better model. Mine sometimes seems to take forever...thus I get pictures that are blurry a lot.

I also did what you did. I took the camera out of the box and never read the manual. I need to see if there are any flash options on my camera. I'm sure there are.

Do you remember which ones have flash and which do not? If so, can you share some of that private info? :P

Doode

[identity profile] locopuff.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
You look so gooooooostly in those pics with your new black hair. You look, like, way younger or something. I dunno if that's good. Is it good? To look like a dead 18 year old? Maybe you'll get perverted e-mails from necrophiliacs now O_o

Doode, we gots to hang out. I wisht I had your skillz, to do my own goddamned hair. Seeing as how I have no friends near me. *sniffle*

Re: Doode

[identity profile] blustocking.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 08:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Nice! I can handle way younger...I think I'm at that stage where looking older is no longer an asset. Dead 18 year olds ROCK. Perverted emails from necrophiliacs ROCK!

I KNOW! GAAAARRRGH! Can you do your hair any color now that you don't work at Crap Plus? DO IT!!!

What days do you have off again?

[identity profile] blustocking.livejournal.com 2002-05-22 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
HEY!

Peter Murphy!!! Are we still gonna go? I don't even know if there are tickets left.
GAAAAAARRRGH!

[identity profile] rainstories.livejournal.com 2002-05-21 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] lagnolalia.livejournal.com 2002-05-22 11:21 am (UTC)(link)
Jilly poo - the Elseworth pics link goes to the Elseworth website. Didja know? And I love the studio/practice shots. Those are what I had in mind, but it looks like everyone beats me to these things.

*wonders who will bump me off and shoot Deano before I can now*

And o'course I already tol' ya which Dax shot I liked the best.

Bye for now.

Re:

[identity profile] blustocking.livejournal.com 2002-05-23 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
No, the word "Elseworth Dragon" link to the site, the word "here" link to the pics...I should have separated them more.

Ugh...I need a real website.

Thank you though... :)

I cannot wait to shoot a show. You an' me, runnin' around like mad women trying to get some good shots. :)

meowsa..

[identity profile] xylocaine.livejournal.com 2002-05-24 08:52 am (UTC)(link)
