We were so fucking classy that they painted that shit on the WALLS! In BLUE!

When we were good, they'd give us these slips of paper called Cougar Paws, and if we saved them until the end of the year we could bid on all the cool things the teachers had confiscated over the years.

They've recently demolished my elementary school to build a new one in it's place, I wonder if they'll still be the classy cougars. In my day everything was dangerous. We couldn't drink from the water fountains because of the pipe rust, we couldn't use half of the bathrooms because kids either lit garbage cans on fire or wrote swear words on the walls with their own POOP. Then there was the big wooden plaything that was so wobbly that at least one kid would break their arm each year. Good times.

What goes through a person's mind when they decide to write a message out with feces? It's not so much the actual act or result that bothers me, it's the first step. "Hm, well, I think I'll just pick up this shit here.."

How funny! What is it with high school memories right now? I just got in touch with a couple of my old high school conspirators. One of 'em is having a party this weekend, where some of the old drum line and a few other "cool" bandgeeks are gonna get together. It's either tonight or Sunday, not quite clear on which one yet. It'll probably be really funny, hopefully it won't be tired and boring.

Most people don't realize what a steamy place the band bus was to be! Some truly dirty things went on in there, made only more titillating by the teenhormones all around. I had the good fortune to be part of some of them.

I played the bigass bass drum during marching season, and every percussive instrument imaginable in the concert season.

Yes, yes...playing the "weirdest place you've had sex" game in the back of the bus, the constant flirting, nothing too hot and heavy in the back of our bus, but still...good, good memories.

Yes yes, all that sort of thing. The dirtier things were um concealed from sight by a convenient blanket. Yes, me and my first little girlfriend were always under the covers because of how "cold" we were. Ha!

Dood, I was so cool...I didn't date high school kids...well, except for one guy, but he was 2(?) years ahead of me. ;)

There's a lot to be said for heavy petting and making out.
