umm. a rock. nick cave says so.
("where the wild roses grow" just came on winamp. he kills some girl in the song with a rock, so .. it all makes sense. yes yes)

i'm actually STILL harboring bitterness over integration. imagine me at 13 or 14 going out to buy it because there is a sticker plastered on it claiming that new songs are in it. imagine my anger when i open it up and realize it's just the singles. heh.

i am not cool enough to have a nightmare before christmas clock. i've just got lavender/silver hello kitty. which i suppose is cool enough...

I LOVE that song. LOVE. I play that song all the time. :D

What do you think of the acoustic disc on the newest Greatest Hits? I wasn't all that impressed.
I cannot wait for the solo disc...didn't you say they were thinking of just putting in as an add-on with the next Cure album?

Whatever man, Hello Kitty is cool (not as cool as Badtz Maru) but because it's silver and lavender, it's WAY cool. Rock ass.

the acoustic disc? i don't like it, truthfully. i mean what were they smoking when they thought it would be fun to do "wrong number" acoustic? or "just say yes"?? terrible terrible!!

yeah, robert said in an interview that they were considering putting on the solo disc as a bonus on the next album. i have my doubts about it. it just seems like a very robert smith kinda thing to say and i've learned not to believe that man very much. :(

but i do believe that there will be another album. i'm just hoping for a tour as this WILL be the one that brings me together to meet friends i've had online since 1999.

i strangely have outgrown my badtz maru phase. i should consider giving away all my badtz stuff really. hrm...

I WILL HAPPILY TAKE ANY BADTZ STUFF YOU WANNA GIVE ME. In exchange for...hmmm...I don't know...some burned CD's and assorted goodies. A gift exchange! We should start one! Ooooo...the hamster in my head has woken up!

Yesssss....the only Cure show I saw was, crap...which one was that...oh damn, I think it was the Wild Mood Swings tour. Yeah, I suck. And I'm not a huge fan of that acoustic disc. Glad to hear I'm not the only one. That Bob, he's nutty.
Tour yes, good, meet pretty Thistle! :D

i wasn't too fond of the wild mood swings tour either. of course, there were circumstances on that one that crushed me... i was aching over a boy and had to go by myself. it just was a lackluster album and therefore a kinda dull show i think. but still .. it was the cure. i had to go.

i think the best shows i saw was in 2000 for bloodflowers. that album didn't really do it for me but damn .. to hear some of their really old stuff live. i cried like a baby when they played "faith" ... BOTH nights. i just stood there crying like an idiot. :)

actually, a lot of people didn't like the acoustic disc very much. most people were hoping it would be something kinda innovative like their unplugged appearance on mtv.

i'll have to dig through my badtz stuff. i'm not really sure what i've got left... :\
i started weeding out some of my sanrio stuff as it had gotten out of hand over the last 25 years or so. hee!

I was/am so pissed that I missed the Bloodflowers tour. I actually did like that album...well, I like all of them, as I'm sure you do, some are just better than others. Heheh. Mint Car got on my effing nerves though. Anyway, I was going to go to the show in Vegas because I stood in line for tickets here but they sold out in a matter of seconds. That show was at the Joint at the Hard Rock, a relatively small venue (for the Cure). But my best friend, who is now my roommate, was graduating that day. I guess I could have cut out that evening and made it, as her graduation was in Redlands, making it about 2 1/2-3 hours left to Vegas...but well...that would have been shitty, eh?
heheh. :)

I hear ya. I used to be quite the Sanrio whore. Then I realized, what the hell do I need more cute notepads and pens for?!

no joke. sanrio's pens, in my opinion, suck. :(

i've got a number of friends that went to the las vegas show. they all met up there. that's actually what sparked my madness about meeting everyone. insane jealousy. hahah!
oh sigh. would they just hurry up and tour again?
