(no subject)

Yet another reason I'm glad I won't be in this city tonight.

Between [livejournal.com profile] locopuff's and [livejournal.com profile] thistlemoon's dreams...it's starting to creep me the fuck out.

Also, we didn't get fortune cookies with our Chinese food. YOU HEAR ME?! THEY ALWAYS PUT THE FORTUNE COOKIE IN THERE. But they didn't...because we have no future.
I kid.
*nervous laugh*

addenDUMB: The Rocky Horror remake is going to be made for television and Frank is now going to be a plastic surgeon. Shoot me now.

Current music:handmade farty noises being made by my co-worker and I

If I'm using my hand, it's usually the palm. Sometimes I'll spice it up by using the inside of my elbow. Generally though, it's just mouthwork.

DIRTY!
:D

At the risk of speaking too quickly, those are anxiety dreams. I'm sure most people in L.A. and NYC are having those dreams, because they're major cities.

But, keep in mind that the thing that holds the most symbolism and, for some people, emotional weight in America is in NYC. The Statue of Liberty is in NYC. Terrorists have proven that it's easier to hit the east coast before being detected. I mean, to get here, they have to cross the whole damn country, and they would be seen before they got close to the west coast.

Take into account that it's Independence Day, big American holiday. Couple this with the fact that we live in a major city and/or have friends that do, and you've got every reason to be paranoid. Every reason to have anxiety dreams. Especially if you're closer to downtown.

I should tell you, though, that I haven't had any dreams about death or nukes. And usually, either me or my mother will have a dream about something bad before it happens to us. We're spooky like that. I've come to trust the spooky head-things, as they're usually right.

But that's not to say there won't be any attacks anywhere else. And fortunately for myself, I don't know anyone in NYC. Otherwise, I'd be scared shitless for them right now.

I'm dizzy again. Fucking asthma.

I should clarify... I'm still worried about the people of NYC. Just not scared shitless for them, as I would be if anyone I loved lived there.

Then again, someone I love could be there right now. Visiting. Maybe they moved there and I haven't talked to them in a while, so I don't actually know where they are at the moment.

s'all good sweet thang. :)

Yo!

I was never really on edge about the "potential terrorist attacks" that the news tells me about every other day, until I started hearing all of this talk about Seattle being considered an easy target.

I'm tired of hearing about all of the 'potentials' and the hundreds of ways 911 could have been prevented.

Once I had a dream that that I fell on top of a traffic cone, and it horribly bludgeoned me, and the very next day my arm was skewered by a forklift! I guess it's not really the same, but someday I will harness my psychic powers. And on that day I will move to Las Vegas.

I realize you were probably trying to sound comforting, but that just came off as snotty and smarter-than-thou.

Besides, one of the people I referred to is in Texas and I trust her instincts, as well as Loco's. What makes theirs "anxiety dreams" and if you had one, it would be profound and true?

Ugh...the initial post wasn't even that serious. I don't wholeheartedly believe Los Angeles is going to get blown to smithereens today. Just odd coincidences.

I don't have to know anyone in NYC to be "scared shitless" for them either. I love that city. I love it like it was my home...just do. Not to mention all of the people that live there. Though I may say I hate people and complain of their suckiness...it is due to an overwhelming love and disappointment in them.

Sorry. I don't dislike you, nor am I mad at you. Just speaking my mind.

*shrug* I understand. Not a big deal.
