YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!
One of my favorite bands of ALL time are getting back together! October Project is the best. :)

I also found out the name of a song I've been searching for (another KCRW play...I love you KCRW). It's what I'm listening to now. I suggest you check them out. :)

I made My First Lasagna this evening (from my Mom's recipe). Yeah, I know...I've made a lot of things, but I never got around to making lasagna...it's almost sacrilege. It came out pretty damn good though, just a little "unformed" due to using too much water in the meat-sauce mix. But the NEXT time I make it...watch out bitches. I've taken to making these big-meal dishes so that they will last me a few days rather than having to cook (no time) or spend money.

I did buy some pants tonight though. Only because with both jobs, I need some good work pants that I don't have to keep sewing up. And I got to buy a small, how cool is that?

My AA-like meeting was tonight. It was okay. Both of the meetings are supposed to be 2 hours but they seem to let us go after 1, so that's cool. We just watched two videos that I'd rather not even go into...I'd rather think about the fact that I should be in bed, all of the stuff I need to do(I need to get up at 7 to go sign up for community service and the hospital/morgue program.), time juggling, money problems...oh crap...I'm just going to go to bed while I'm still semi-happy.

LASAGNA!
New good music!
New pants!

I heard about October Project when I was working for Harmony House in Detroit in 1993. They had two albums; one self titled and another called, "Falling Farther In", released in 1995 (if my memory serves me correct).

They always reminded me of Clannad and a little bit of His Name Is Alive. Very ethereal, dreamy, and smelling like fresh fallen autumn leaves; since their 1st album was released in mid October.

I will always associate them with the end of the year, when the trees change color and the Earth begins to freeze. Where everything stands still, except for the little people dancing, frolicking, and rejoicing in the crisp cool air trying to catch the first snowflake on the tips of their tongues...

Yes, I remember their sound all too vividly, again, after all these years.

p.s. I make a mean lasagna. I would love to make it for you sometime. :)

awwww, poor pussywillow. ;)

(I accidentally typed "poop pussywillow"...my juvenile behaviour is getting the better of me...and why did I just type the British spelling?)

WHAT ARE YOU SAYING, MY LASAGNA IS NOT GOOD?! IT IS SUB-PAR?! No...I would love eVol Lasagna. XD

I bought the first album when it came out (heh, when I was 16/17 I think. (I'm much more fond of the debut than "Falling Farther In") That album and the band are intricately tied to my chaotic "teen years". I tried to break up with Ryan by playing him "Ariel"...right after we had, for lack of a better inbetween term, "made love". He started crying uncontrollably and I lost my willpower. Not to mention all those rainy days, those Autumn days spent walking on bare hardwood floors taking in the sound of that album. They remind me of a specific cemetery during the rain...*sigh
