Is it wrong to immediately not like someone, or think they're brain dead, because:

A) They think the Beat writers were the beginning of the end of literature.
B) They thought Donnie Darko was, "whatever" and "good for someone just out of school".

Wow...those just piss me off on so many levels.

Btw, it's the combination. One of those alone I could forgive.

One of his favorite musical artists is m.gira if that tells you anything. Not that I don't like the Swans, but still...favorite.

I saw the Swans at the Bottleneck in Lawrence, KS. They had m.gira's books and such for sale. I like the music, but the uber new-agey/spookiness of what he had to sell inducing a little eye-rolling.

There's some weird combination of hippie/spookygoth that I don't particularly enjoy.

I saw Gira read once, and the material was pretty nihilistic. Strange.
