Omelette du Merde
Aug. 10th, 2001 01:40 amSooooo...went to movie tonight, even though I CAN'T afford it. Left the house before roomie got home so as to maximize away time. Saw "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" which I've been dying to see. To my delight, I'd picked the showing with a question and answer session with John Cameron Mitchell afterwards. (He wrote, directed, and stars in it as well as writing and starring in the original off-Broadway play) He later signed autographs, so I talked to him a bit about Kansas (he lived in Junction City for 3 years) and he complimented me on my hair. (Heeee, that's quite a compliment coming from Hedwig. ;) I was so taken with the movie and music that I had to go to Virgin next door and buy the soundtrack which I had been putting off.
Music takes precendence over rent and bills in my world.
Go see that movie. Go buy the soundtrack.
Pleeeease. I want it to do well.
I told the roomie I am planning on looking for my own apartment what with this $400.00 rent increase coming in October (nice birthday present). She didn't take it well. She was quiet and I heard her sniffling. We talked and we're going to try and find her a roommate, but if we can't by the end of August, then we're going to find another place together. I know, I know...but the truth is, I can't afford it either. I looked at my budget yesterday and I have literally NO money what with this car payment. There's no way I can pay more than $600-$700.00 for rent. It's hard to find a decent 1 bedroom in this area for that price. Very hard. So, we'll see.
But I might just bite the bullet and fucking do it anyway. I can't stand living with someone, let alone her. I'm so high maintenence. Ugh, she started talking about moving home...guilt. Feh.
I need someone.
