I don't want to be here.
I don't want to be there.
I want to be somewhere else.

I feel like Cinderella, only, you know, not as pretty.

Finished Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Here is my opinion of it:

"good story, good story, good story, good story, convenient, unbelievable plot twist so that moral can be inserted, end of story."

Man, what a let-down. Not that I hate the book mind you. I was just disappointed. And from what I hear the 2nd-4th are the same way. I will still read them, because they are enjoyable, but damn, why did she have to do that? Unfortunately, I can compare these to Anne Rice and her "Vampire novels". By the time she got to the 4th one, she'd run out of steam, but she kept plowing ahead. Now I just see her name and groan. I hope J.K. Rowling takes some time to hone her writing skills and develop a better, more creative plot rather than getting to the end of writing a book and dropping the ball completely. It was such a lazy, pulled-out-of-her-ass ending. It's a shame that successful authors now have to, well, they don't HAVE to, but they do, listen to marketers and PR people. Quantity for quality baby.
