Given, I already posted (somewhat) about this in Moley's rad-ass community
music_toasties ...still...
I went to Eleni Mandell at the Knitting Factory Hollywood by myself tonight...and to tell you the truth, I kind of wanted to go by myself...so if I didn't ask you to go, that is why and I apologize. (I even bought 2 tickets when I heard how low the price was, thinking I could invite someone...) I would have gladly paid the price of a third ticket to see her. I love her music, but man is she beautiful onstage. SOME people were just born to be up there. Some of these people I'll be seeing very soon. :)
Anyway, I think I had about 4 Captain and Cokes, talked to a girl named Patty, oogled a pretty gothy couple, and some weird guy complimented me on my nails O_o. I also got Eleni to sign my ticket and got to shake her hand. Then I came home smiling. Weird, that guy going on about my nails...they're unpainted. Lately, and only because I didn't wear a lot of makeup back home (too hot), I've been getting a lot of compliments based on "natural" attributes. That was one of the good things about being home. After the first two days, I gave up. I didn't give a flying eff what I looked like. No makeup, hair up, pants rolled up, and dammit, I looked cute. I feel too self-conscious here.
Alas, that is my hang up, is it not? And those explanations are being stored for a longer entry...I will explain myself, when I can.
I remember Ryan's friends, Dan and Forey, telling me I looked better without makeup. I think it's just because 1) I wear it so much, without it is different, therefore, intriguing. 2) More men out there are looking for the natural look because makeup is way overplayed...sometimes. ;)
Man...I just cut myself to ribbons...damn new razors.
Oh...I got a haircut. It's cute.
I'll show you all soon. :)
