Don't EAT on your lunch break, SHOP!

I found the coolest, coolest thing(s) at Goodwill while Danielle and I were on our lunch break.
I got Steve Martin's "Wild And Crazy Guy" on vinyl for $1. BOO. YA.
Not only do I have an unholy love for Steve Martin, but this is the one my family and I used to listen to on 8-track. I don't have a record player...but at least roomie does. :D

(I also got Missing Persons on vinyl, but we'll ignore that, won't we? ;)

And you know....my birthday is coming up. ;) Yes, most of the things on there are horribly expensive...but it's a wish list and I don't really expect anything. Looking is fun though. :)

...is a GREAT album!

When I was about eight I had a Steve Martin poster hanging in my reading room upstairs. He had some kind of giant mackerel sticking out of his jacket and he was grinning and it was signed "Best Fishes, Steve Martin".

My first-run copy of Cruel Shoes is one of my most prized possessions.

if you have never read it i HIGHLY recommend reading his book "Cruel Shoes". I have it buried in some box from my last move. Im looking forward to uncovering it soon, as we dig out for a garage sale.
Its a fuckin riot.

My, what a big list you have. I've always thought nothing says "Happy Birthday" like inkjet cartridges. O_o

[identity profile] blustocking.livejournal.com 2002-09-04 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey man, I need inkjet cartridges and those bitches aren't cheap. :p

That was going to be MY joke! *whines*

[identity profile] iamwells.livejournal.com 2002-09-04 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, so why the DVD and VHS of L.A. Story and The Jerk?

L.A. Story is the only movie I've seen more than ten times.

Oh, and speaking of. . . I finally found Tail of the Pup just last week. I was elated.

I put both on there because I don't actually HAVE a DVD player yet. I guess I could delete the VHS copy...I'm a greedy bish.

I used to work near Tail O' The Pup. In that large monstrosity known as the Beverly Center, but I refer to it as Dante's Inferno. I worked on the 8th circle.

I think the movie I've watched the most is Labyrinth. Shocking, I know.

I borrowed and downloaded a burned pirate copy of Photoshop 7.0, so I didn't have to spend that god awful $150 clams on it.

Hmm, I will see if I can locate another one. I have to attempt to go threw 3 people, but it will be worth it. Mama loves a challenge. I'll see what I can do for you snookie. :)

p.s. My oldest brother, he had all the Steve Martin and Cheech & Chong albums on vinyl. Man, that was some good poop.

[identity profile] motherevol.livejournal.com 2002-09-04 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
UGH! I mean, go THROUGH 3 people, not THREW 3 people. Oi.

I have been at the computer lab all afternoon and all night tutoring people. I am bitchy, tired and completely off my rocker.

I have 6.0 pirated off the net, but I just thought it would be nice to someday own the "real thing". :D

Amazon Birfday!

[identity profile] not-this-time.livejournal.com 2002-09-05 09:03 am (UTC)(link)
hey sexy~ if one were so inclined to purchase you something off of a particular website, where might one send that particular item to? DHD? your humble abode? Brentano's? corner of Santa Monica and Fairfax?

Re: Amazon Birfday!

[identity profile] blustocking.livejournal.com 2002-09-05 12:50 pm (UTC)(link)
HAHAHA! No...I've moved. All the good action is at Santa Monica and HIGHLAND.

Seriously...you don't need to buy me anything. DONNA BUY ME NATHIN'!

I just like window shopping and making lists of things I want. If someone actually bought me something from that list, I'd probably feel bad.
