Nov. 29th, 2002 03:45 pmIt's 3:17pm and I've already taken 5 buses today.
But now, NOW I HAVE INSURANCE. ^_^ I now have an appointment at Ye Olde DMV for next Wednesday. No more rampant harassment, no more taking 3 hours to get to and from work, no more worrying about how late I go home....well, maybe. ;}
Where did teh funny go? I've lost my funny. Anyone seen it?
Speaking of funny. I had the immense pleasure of seeing Simpsons characters come to life on the bus today. Two, tottering fat guys got on the bus, both looked EXACTLY like Comic Book Guy, talked like him too. One stopped in front of me in his beat up leather duster and backpack and said "Hi." I just smiled politely and nodded. He said something about "nice day" or "have a nice day" or something but I was too busy looking at something very interesting, far, far away, so I just muttered "uh huh". Let it be known that I've been a righteous bitch today to strangers. Perhaps because it took me HOURS to get to the insurance place and the buses were packed with sad-sack shoppers weighed down by their many purchases.
The nerdikins sat in the back of the bus and I thought they were talking about Stargate SG-1 or Star Trek or some shiz, but then one goes, "Do you have your decks". BWAHAHA. :D I changed seats (not because of them) as the bus emptied but could still hear them as they proceeded to roleplay some space-themed game. It were funny. I was very nearly lulled to sleep by the sounds of twittering nerdom. Weeee.
Yeah, I can be a snob. Fuckin' deal with it.
I'm nerdy in my own way.
I'm kinda surly today, I think. I don't know. I don't know how I feel today. Kinda numb, sad (at first I typed "Kinda dumb". So yeah, that too). Whatever....I'll write about it in private.
