You won't like this entry. You won't hate it, but it will not entertain you. So if you're looking for chills and spills, the feel-good entry of the year, this isn't it. Jesus hated this entry. He gave it two hairy, holy thumbs down. You will probably fall asleep while reading it. So if you dare to forge ahead, please place a pillow over your desk or keyboard. I cannot be held responsible for your narcoleptic ass. (HAHA, "DOOD! MY ASS IS ASLEEP! AAARGH!")

So, I felt like flabby crap today, just because I didn't work out last night. I've been very good about this whole "exercise" thing, so I guess missing one night, because I passed out and woke up again at 6:30am (too early and mind-numbing of an hour to exercise), made me feel like unmotivated poo-dookie. Well, because I stayed up so late (got caught up watching a movie and talking to roomie), I slept until 2pm. (I went "to bed" at 5am, I think). Then I had to get up and go to work at the bookstore. Ugh, 3:30pm to midnight shift...on a Saturday. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmhmm.

I was doing well, then about 3 hours in, the day took on its theme. Every day in retail, you'll notice a "theme". Whether it be plain rude customers, stupid customers, or a bastardized, unholy hybrid of the two. Today was Stupid Belligerent Day. I swear to fucking Jesus (see, told you he didn't like this entry), everyone had a lump of coal shoved up their ass this Christmass(that's a typo, but I'm going to leave it). Everyone had to argue and everyone was fucking WRONG. It's as if the general populace decided it is now their job to come in and critique the way we do things. It wasn't a particularly bad day, thanks to my surly and humorous co-workers...but just fucking irritating...in that, Make-You-Want-To-Snap-And-Just-Finally-Say-Outloud-To-The-Entire-Store-"What the fuck is WRONG with you people?!"...kind of way. Working in a bookstore has always amused me, fueled my sarcastic witty nature...perhaps that's why I get lured back by its bitter siren song every few years or so.

And it's nice, very nice, that they're going to miss me. I put in my 2 weeks today. A few of us went to Norm's (24 hr diner) after work. It was nice. They don't want me to leave. They think I'm entertaining and they'll miss me. That's cool. I'm trying to transfer to the Borders back home. So, hopefully, that crew will be just as surly and sarcastic.

Did I mention I'm going to miss KCRW? Yeah...cause I am. Luckily they're online. I wish I could afford one of those car satellite radios. Those are spiff. Though...if I could afford it, I don't think I'd spend my money on that. It's just neat.

That new Fox show, Joe Millionaire...yeah, that's going to be so fucking awesome. It looks so bad, so bad in that very good way. I love that they're showing these women for what they really are. GOLDDIGGIN' HOORS! That last episode, when the "woman he chooses" *heart a-flutter* finds out he's really a construction worker who makes $19,000 a year...that's going to be absolutely priceless. Stupid women. I laugh at them. I bet she'll try and play it off as if she really loves him, and then a week later she'll dump his ass. HOORS! ;)

I'm going to miss looking up into the hills at night, lit-up houses like stars. Stars that choked on the smog radiating around the city and fell to rest among rich concrete and gated communities. Seriously, sometimes this city is beautiful in all the wrong ways. The way the night sky is often a haze of pink and violet from all of the light, the pollution. Where I am, you can see stars...not many, major constellations, Osiris, big and little dipper, etc. But driving home, I always look South at a certain spot and take in the cut of violet velvet sky met sharply with bible-black hills, twinkling lights set dense, rising and falling low in the distance.

Today, it was so nice outside...so warm, yet cool, and clear. I could see the Hollywood sign from Century City. Sometimes, I even forget we're surrounded by mountains, because on really warm days, the smog blocks them out. That's disgusting, but it makes you appreciate, take notice, of the days where our natural surroundings are allowed to show their face.

I'm such a hippie sometimes.

I really need someone to drive home with me. Spending 2 (or 3) days traveling with my Mother will kill me slowly. And I won't be able to listen to some of the music I want to listen to. Somehow, I don't think my Mom would appreciate Tenacious D. I really don't. I'll see her soon enough. I want to make this a fun trip...not just "eh, driving home."

Things I want to do before I leave:

-pictures downtown, walking tour
-horseback riding on the trails in Griffith Park
-beach, pictures (Malibu? Venice. Never saw the canals either.)
-wine tasting in Santa Barbara
-dancing, at least twice (gothy and 80's, at least)
-Disneyland
-trip to Amoeba/Meltdown
-see Elseworth play
-...more

I'm toying with the idea of having a last hurrah party at my house too. See everyone in one fell swoop. We'll see. Probably, I just have to finalize it in my head. We never had a housewarming or anything resembling a party and we wanted to. Now is a good time.

I'm worried about what she's going to do come Feb. 1st. I suppose that's not my job to take care of that, do the work for her, but I like things to be taken care of. I don't want to leave and have her struggling to make rent because she couldn't find anyone to live with her. We'll see. Last she told me, she was putting an ad in the paper and checking on the ads of people looking to rent a room. I still think this is a stupid idea, but whatever, that's her choice.

I'm going to go find more things to get rid of.

HA, that's crazy! Unfortunately, I think Chun's got it down pretty well. Brendan's only going to be doing chargebacks. I'll gently ask Martha about it tomorrow though. ;)

Yeah, I know, the bastard! Haha. He's probably loving it because he can claim it takes a lot of time and he doesn't have to do customer service.

That is EXACTLY what he's doing.

Yes, ONE project takes up ALL his time, but we both managed to do RevEx plus multiple other projects. When will Martha learn what he is doing? *shakes head in disgust*

NEVER! She is oblivious...wrapped up in her own little game of control. I make her sound devious, but she's really just sad.

Sorry man, she's getting on everyone's nerves lately. Like her, don't wanna work with her.

Trust me, I wouldn't want to anymore either. I like talking to her, but I couldn't handle her mood swings at work anymore. Plus, some things she says, I just wouldn't want to deal with that - she makes conclusions about people and then refuses to see anything that might challenge that conclusion, regardless of how wrong she might be.
