r is for wrinkled!
Jan. 10th, 2003 05:19 pmOoo, I was "scouted". PFFF! Bullshit.
Didn't one of you (on my friends list) mention TCTalent? Yeah, well I was just at Best Buy on my lunch break (inquiring about fixing my camera) and some chick was staring at me in the parking lot. I ignored it, went inside and stood in line at the maintenence department. She came up to me and handed me a card for some modeling shite. She told me to be there tomorrow at 1pm. I just smiled and said, "Okay". Guess what I'm going to be doing tomorrow at 1pm. Oh, that's right, selling cd's, movies, and clothes at various stores...if they'll take them. Pff, I don't believe that shite. I'm sorry, but any company run by the person responsible for N*STINK and the Backdoor Boys, no thanks. I'm sure they'll have this huge amount of people there and show them some presentation about how TCT can help them...then at the end, they'll throw in how much it costs. I fell for that once, slightly...never again.
I just dropped some cash at Best Buy. Oops. I COULDN'T HELP IT! I'm a DVD whore now. :( I'm not that bad really. I only bought movies I've been wanting for years and half of them were on sale. I didn't even get Legend, The Muppet Movie, Boondock Saints (which was $10, but I haven't seen it, even though I'm told it's good ;) Fight Club, or Requiem For A Dream (mainly because they were out of 2 of those. Heh.) So anyway, I bought: LOTR: FOTR (the extended 4-disc set), Fantasia, Fantasia 2000, and the first and third Austin Powers. They had Batman for $10 too, but I put back a lot. I only spent what I really could afford and right now, thanks to being frugal and fortunate circumstances, I can afford it. Later, I won't be able to. And I've been good about buying stuff and I've been getting rid of A LOT of things. :}
/rationalization
Tonight might be fun actually. I'm going to see Danielle's husband's band(got that?) play (Ruptured Duck). I think we're all going out to eat before too. And I'm supposedly taking some live shots of the band. Word, muthafucka.

Date: 2003-01-10 06:07 pm (UTC)I have to say though, your tastes may be vastly different from mine if you actually bought Austin Powers 3. That movie made me want to put nails in my brain. To each their own!

Date: 2003-01-10 06:28 pm (UTC)A Lord of Darkness toy would be sweeeeet. Alas, I am holding off on buying any more stuff-stuff for awhile...hopefully. This does not include music, books, or movies. :)
