Didn't get tattoo done tonight, doing it tomorrow. Dana forgot he told me to come in and I wasn't even done drawing it anyway because I was too distracted and full of teh rage to finish. So this works out well.

Friday night, a friend and I went to see the <http://www.rainbowcarnage.org">L.A. shadow-cast do Hedwig and The Angry Inch. I got to see [livejournal.com profile] mspunkrockstar, [livejournal.com profile] boymaenad, and [livejournal.com profile] sexychicken in action. It was really, really great and I think I had a stupid smile on my face the entire time. I love that movie. I'm just mad that I won't be around to witness "The Apple" on V-D Day. *sigh* Valentine's Day, what a crap holiday. Anyway, I bought a shirt because it's a mixture of pirate and Hedwig and you really can't beat that. Everyone should go see them next month, damnit.

In lieu of a real update, because I'm "mysterious" and shit, and discussing how I really feel would just be tiresome, I'll review a movie.

I finally saw Signs tonight. And all I have to say is, sure, it was creepy as all hell...but I'm not really scared of aliens who RIDE THE SHORT SPACESHIP, if you know what I mean. "Hey! That planet is 75% water. It would be perfect for our water-intolerant ways!" Sure, I mean, water can kill them, but they'd work around it, right? They were like zombies. Quick little zombies. They should have been zombies, that would have been cooler. And jeez, how would you like to be the alien who was defeated by a pantry? How would you live that down.

"Dood, did you hear about Bob?"
"Nooo, *bleep*, what happened?"
"Man, he got trapped in a pantry."
*much alien laughter*

I'm not even going to go into the whole "Oooo, there IS someone watching over us." thing. That God, he's swell, ain't he? :p

All in all, it was a good movie. It was sufficiently creepy and amusing, and the child actors didn't get on my nerves like they usually do. They were actually very good.

I think we had the same conversation here when the movie was over.
Also, this "harvesting" they speak of, as in the human crop they wanted, aren't we simple "ugly bags of mostely water"?
If water is acid to them, what do they want with us?

Silly premise.
And I dislike the whole god thing too.
Gotta give the kid a fatal disease, make sure the brother has no career in the big leagues, the daughter has schizaphrenic tendancies with water, AND kill the wife.
All so they can beat the crap out of ONE alien, missing half it's fingers, that couldn't get out of a pantry?

meh

Creepy yes, M. Night is good at setting a mood, but I'm not a big fan of his plots, or his acting abilities.

Fun indeed, but in that shiny hollywood kinda way.

Perhaps, but you'd think they'd be wearing some sort of space suit or something.
What happened if it rained?

Just seems silly to me!

:)

And tell me how a race advanced enough to fly through space to conquer us can't open a pantry door?

A door??

Jeez... no wonder they all left him behind to fend for himself!

:)

(how's the weather down there? bwahahaha! Feel the wrath of winter cali girl!) ;)

That's one sexay Poking Finger of Doom.

Actually, I'm amazed at how I'm taking the cold. It's not that bad. Sure, the 3 degrees was pretty fucking cold, but generally, it's not that bad. Then again, I've only had, what...a week of winter.

SO NYAH!
