I actually just thought of that. That, would be perfect. Cheap enough and close enough, comparatively.

I just checked the weather there...it's perfect, humid, but a niiiice temperature.

And I was itching for a N.O. fix. I wish I knew someone there. Gah.

i was gonna just up and move there at one point but i didn't have the money. Did plenty of research though and found the places to live where you are SLIGHTLY less likely to get shot in the face...good info to have.
