obligatory tornado post
May. 8th, 2003 04:21 pmCouple days ago, we had a drill at work. Had to go to the basement. It was basically nothing though. I'm getting used to the weather alert constantly going off too.
However, we're at 90% humidity today and it's hard to even breathe. No bike ride today.
So, if anyone is wondering, I am in the area of the "greatest potential", but I don't think one has ever hit up North. It always hits the West side of town...becuase the West side of town is evil. Duh.
Still, the animals are all inside and I'm watching ye olde Weather Channel just in case.
Funnel clouds in Denver? So much hail it looks like snow? WTF?
Did you L.A. kids know that Good Day L.A. is also run as a national program called Good Day Live? I can't escape those half-wits. Damn you Jillian Barbarie, you annoying hobag.
Happy Birthday to
nerdcoretoastie!
5:48pm The wind is making awful noises, the air is so moist that everything is somewhat wet to the touch and we think it set off the fire alarm. There's no other reason for it to have gone off...scared the bejeezus outta me too. I've put my fish (in their containers) in the bathtub and my camera and purse (containing journal and radio) are by the stairs to the basement. A few windows are open to alleviate suction, just in case. Yeh, I like to be prepared. I not-so-secretly love this tiny bit of chaos...so pardon my mild enthusiasm. :}

Re:
Date: 2003-05-10 05:09 am (UTC)Sixpachyderm will back me up on this. He was intrigued the night I made him watch "Ex-treme dating" during his visit.
The five remaining hot Canadian chicks, in no particular order:
Margo Timmons
Shania Twain
Suglyister
and I'm sorry. I had the other two when I wrote the original, but I just finished a 12 hour shift and just can't pull the other two up. If they come to mind later I'll follow-up.

Date: 2003-05-10 09:35 am (UTC)So watching Jillian Barbarie is like watching a Fisher-Price car crash? Plastic, just plain wrong...but you can't seem to stop looking.
She still looks leathery to me....actually, not so much leathery as pliable. Like I could grab her cheeks and pull and squish and move her face around. Which, in itself, is intriguing.
It's hard, for me, to separate personality from appearance.
