blustockingLet’s SAY that I go into the bank at around 4 pm on a Friday. Said bank doesn't close until 5:30 pm. I deposit my check, handing it to a teller and actually get some cash back from said check. When should my money be in my account?
What, not until MONDAY you say? And now I’m overdrawn AND I’ve been charged a $28 overdraft fee? Bullshit.
Such complete and utter bullshit. Maybe it doesn’t sound like it takes too much to piss me off right now but I HATE, I fucking HATE, illogical, MORONIC business practices. Especially by banks and utilities. Evil, all evil, mother-fucking corporate greed. I could understand this ridiculous, cock-swabbing activity if I deposited my check into an ATM. Sure, that’s fine. You don’t really know my money is in the envelope. But I HANDED the check to a PERSON. He handed me cash from that check. You have acknowledged my fucking check, now acknowledge my middle finger. If this is how you operate, why even bother being open the rest of Friday and part of the day on Saturday if you’re not even going to work? These asinine policies have taken their toll on me. I canceled SBC (phone + DSL) because of something similar. Tomorrow, I close my checking account at fucking Bank of America, because this is just going to cause future problems. I suppose that’s why everyone seems to be banking with the smaller banks these days.
I can tell you this. My hatred for idiocy and bullshit bureaucracy is going to make me end up hiding my money in the mattress and communicating with people only through smoke signal.
