Don't ask me why, but when I went into the family room to sit with my Dad, he had the T.V. on Smallville. So I started watching it. I figured I should finish, see how this glorified teenybopper drama panned out. In the ending scenes they used Gary Jules' version of "Mad World".
ASSHOLES.

ASS.
HOLES.

I'm meeting a friend for coffee tomorrow. Someone I haven't seen in over, what, 3 years?
I'm hedging about taking this job. I'm going in Thursday to pick up my security packet. I'll probably decide then.
Though a good job, nice benefits, the thought of working again, and making less money than NOT working, is quite unappealing.

Yeah yeah yeah so I watch Smallville. That episode was on earlier in the season and... when "Mad World" started playing, any grip on reality I had been pretending to have was obliterated. It was really upsetting and I spent a long time getting over it.

Really. Honestly. They're not allowed to use that. I'm sorry. Smallville does not have enough sadness to use "Mad World." NEVER!

Especially not that version, yo'. It fit so perfectly in Donnie Darko. Bastards.

And I did sit there watching the entire episode, so it did draw me in...EXCEPT FOR THE END THAT I HATED WITH UNHOLY RAGE. ;)

"Smallville does not have enough sadness to use 'Mad World.'"

That's what I was thinking when I saw it. Seriously, the worst problem Clark Kent has ever had was being too much of a pussy to ask Lana out.

And why does he always look sad when someone says something like "sorry, Clark, I can't hang out in this barn with you right now, because I have a life and stuff. See you later!"? He always has this look on his face like someone's just told him he has cancer.

I remember that episode! I just kinda stared at the TV like this: O_o

"Huh? Whuh... What the... Why?"

I wonder what would happen if they aired Donnie Darko on a channel like the WB... Would heads explode? Would Drew Barrymore fans say "that's totally not her! She's not a Charlie's Angel or anything! That -so- can't actually be her."

what are feces?
