condensed, like soup. hyperlinked, like yer mom.
I give up.
I feel like writing about all of last week, but yet I don't feel like writing it all out, here. Maybe. There are bits and pieces in my paper journal and maybe that's good enough. Because the further away it gets, the more jumbled it gets. All packed into one ball of goodness. I can honestly say, that was the best Con I've been too...but maybe that's the really good sex talking. HMMMM. We'll have pics up soon (of CON-RELATED THINGS THAT IS), so maybe I'll talk more then, but for now:
Highlights:
--spending time with everyone I've missed, spending lots of time with
locopuff,
kitryne and her boy,
defenst8.
--molesting and photgraphing such molestation of various inflatable, stuffed, or cardboard characters and/or animals.
--making horribly pornographic buttons with
locopuff and watching people's reactions when they're offered one.
--The Field. I met so many cool people there. Friday night I went out by myself, because everyone else seemed too tired. In true me fashion, I hit it off with a gay guy named Holland, his friend Cory(girl), and some cute little comic-booky guy. That could have gone somewhere, but...well, he seemed too nice. Honestly, as horrible as it sounds, I wasn't looking for a relationship. One of the bouncers (non-Irish boy) drove us all home, he seemed to have his eye on me too, carried over a bit into Saturday...but again, not looking for something supremely meaningful. I'm a good person, I'm allowed base instincts on occasion. And all of this attention was quite nice.
--"Are you going to the Grotto for some gelato?" I did not go to the Grotto. :(
--"GOD, you are SUCH a fucking seabiscuit."
--Seeing "Pirates..." with teh pirates.
--Futurama panel in which Billy West and John DiMaggio beatboxed the theme song, VERY FUCKING WELL, to an episode that hasn't aired. Simpsons panel followed and was okay.
--Mirror Mask panel (Dave McKean/Neil Gaiman film from Henson productions...good lord I think I came). I love you Dave McKean. Got my Dustcovers book signed.
--I've finally been out of the country. Okay, so it was Tijuana. Still. And we were only there for probably 2 hours. It was good enough. Various candy was purchased. Only Kinder Eggs for me, thank you.
--Free schwag! Especially the Adult Swim stuff. Good panel too.
--Albie's Beef Inn. Everything about that outing was perfect. The excellent food, the champagne cocktails, the sorta-smarmy but cool old dood, the over-60 scene, the boobs on the walls, and some guy from House of 1000 Corpses that everyone seemed jazzed about. I'm really happy that everyone seemed to have a great time. :)

christafa getting picked up by SLG. So cool. He's wanted this for so long.
--Walking. At times it seemed a burden, but I miss walking everywhere. I took the bus and subway when I was in L.A. prior to Con and I realized how much I actually missed it.
--Discovering new-to-me artists/writers/etc. As in: the Merry Karnowsky Gallery, especially Camille Rose Garcia. Also stumbled upon Alex Pardee and Eyesuck, Ink.. More to come, I'm sure.
--Witnessing the San Diego Red Dress Run. Pics later.
--In L.A., realizing I truly don't want to live there anymore and I probably did make the right decision. It never REALLY felt like home.
--Good sushi, good Mexican food.
--Seeing old co-workers, friends, feeling missed as I miss them.
That's it, in short form.
The rest is for me.
Found out tonight that Elaine's cute co-worker, whom I've had a wee crush on, is now available. Not that I'll do anything about it very soon, but good to know. I should sleep, I've an interview in the morning for the Topeka Chamber of Commerce. Yes, I already have a job that starts on Monday, but I like to keep my options open...that, and working for the Chamber of Commerce for a town I hate would be quite amusing. My hair is more bright red than pink now. I had to fix the ends. Looks good though. I'm sure they'll hire me on the spot.
p.s. Eddie is going to be in this Have I mentioned how much I adore the Henson family/company yet? HAVE I?

Damn, and here I thought I was going to travel the path of sexual enlightenment when I get to bare witness of a photograph os a thirty year old sailor ramming a glowing gourd up yer bum. I hate it when you make the baby Jesus cry. Wah!
hey, it didn't glow
You take a sacred moment and just piss all over it, don't you. ;)

magic button love
And I didn't really get to see you that much.
Blame Jen for lack o' pornographic button! But I'm sure she has one or two left. :)

I once had a friend who'd offer to burn any music to a CD for free, and then slap a picture of gay people (male or female) engaged in oral sex on the label.
NO FREE RIDES, BUDDY
*heart stops*
