Why am I home, you may ask?
I just lost my job, that's why! :D
Seriously. Sorta-kinda. Here's the dealio:
I came in this morning to Pearson only to be informed that I did NOT pass the Department of Justice's security clearance. Why? I ask. We don't know, they answer. BUT, I'm being placed in a different department (Medicare/Medicaid). Training starts on September 9th. So that's good. Pays more, but no benefits. It's temp, but the thing with Pearson is, once you're in, you can bounce around and probably find a full-time position eventually. SO YES. I still have medical benefits for another 2 weeks. I'm going to go to the eye doctor and get some FREE, new glasses. I actually find this all very comical. Ask me later when I've had to call the Los Angeles courthouse and straighten all of this shiz out. Apparently, my record shows I've been arrested twice. The last time being LAST MONTH. So seriously, what the fuck? It's a bunch of governmental bullshit that I'll have to wade through, but I'm okay with that. I'm used to that. I live in America. I lived in Los Angeles. I'm also a hardened criminal. Good thing is, now I have time off. I can draw unemployment again, and I get to go spend the night with Ian one night earlier. I can also go back to BCIS (Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services) when/if I get this straightened out. At least I know all there is to know about immigration. Any questions, I'm your girl. You dirty illegal aliens.
I've got some phizzone calls to mizzake.
Werd.

Date: 2003-08-25 04:32 pm (UTC)Thank you. It's going to be an uphill battle, as I called the court today and they, like I guessed, didn't know what I was talking about. I have to call the Dept. of Justice again tomorrow and see what EXACTLY is going on. Damn gub'ment.

Date: 2003-08-26 08:49 am (UTC)Hmm, as far as calling, you're probably right. I don't have much of a memory anymore, but I thought it was before you even went on your first date. I think. Anyway, no problems, you know I have to give you shit, even if we just talked yesterday. :)

Date: 2003-09-23 04:15 pm (UTC)Besides, going to a "regular school" is going to force you to take Math and Science classes, when you should be focusing on what you are skilled in, as well as what you are actually wanting to do. Having a (Liberal Arts) B.A. doesn't mean shit anymore. Figure out what you want to actually do in life, and then decide what the best path is for you. Don't get a degree just for the sake of saying you have one.
Also, of course I think you can!!!!!
