So I'm here, in Wis-kaahn-sin, sitting in the computer lab of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. It's cold, made colder by the ginormous lake a block or two from our house-apartment. But it's sunny, so it's not as bad. It snowed a bit last night, but not much. Haven't found a job yet, but I'm hoping to still get unemployment from California. I'll know next week. Ian is having some luck and might have a job as assistant manager of a coffee shop just down the street. :D Boo is actually doing fine. The place is so big that he seems okay with not going outside...that, or he hasn't realized this may be permanent. At any rate, it gives him room to play with those furry mice that he likes.

I'm writing too, so that's good. I wrote a murderous poem last night that I'm actually proud of...I think. I haven't read it today, today it might be shit.

More later. I miss having internet access at home. I might cave and get a phone line soon.

And yes, the cheese is SUPERB.

I'm adjusting. I feel kinda weird right now. I think it's the not-having-a-job-new-city-living-with-people kinda weirdness though. It will pass. I wish I saw you before I left. :( I'll be visiting probably early next year though. :)
