Words of advice

If something you've wanted gets handed to you, don't think you can just play it cool and go back and pick it up later. It probably won't be there anymore.
Went out with a friend last night and saw "Donnie Darko". I knew it was going to be a good movie, but I had no idea it was going to be that good. Fucking wonderful. You should all go out RIGHT NOW and see it. I know I will probably see it again before the week is up.
After the movie I went over to Virgin to get the soundtrack, but it's not out yet. I got BT "Rare and Remixed" instead. (A 2 CD set for $16, how could I not really. ;)
Then Catty (the movie-friend) and I went over to Jason and Dennis' and hung out until it was time to go to the club. So Jason, Dennis, and Jason's cousin Darcy, and I went to Ultra Suede on Robertson. Cosmos were $2 until midnight. I had 4, plus the vodka shot and mixed drink I'd had at their house. I drank fast, so I was nicely toasted, but not piss-drunk. When we got in and went to the back bar a really tall tranvestite motioned me over and held me by the shoulders. He said, "I just have to tell you that I LOVE your hair" and he lightly touched it with his hand. I just smiled a lot and said an emphatic "Thank you". He was standing next to the bar with his male friend and I got in behind him to get a drink. I saw his friend looking at me and I knew they were probably talking about me. They lingered for a bit while I got the drinks for the rest of us and went back to my group a few feet away. Then, when it would seem to any normal person that I had no interest, they left. I figured I'd just find him later and feel it out, see if he was a transvestite or just a drag queen. I'm leaning towards transvestite because the outfit was womanly, but not over the top, as well as the make-up. And remember kids, "most male transvestites fancy women." So to make a long story short, we spent too much time drinking in the back room and I never saw him again. I need to learn to not wait so damn long, be more ballsy, and not appear so aloof. *sigh* I appear very stand-offish in a crowd because I'm so afraid of looking dumb, I just try and look like I don't care. Most of my friends in high school told me that they thought I was a bitch before they met me. Heheh. Then they got to know me and found out I AM a bitch! Just kidding. ;)
I'm going to a Halloween party tonight. If all goes well, I'm going as a "creepy doll".
