Glad to hear you haven't frozen to death. Have you gotten to Chicago much yet? Any job prospects? GET A PHONE WOMAN AND CALL MEEEEE!!!! :D
P.S. I was just about to put commas around the "woman" but decided realized it was funnier to tell you to get a "phone woman" - particular useful for those, like you, who hate phones. :P
I know you will. I just like to mention it occasionally. :) Oh, I mean ;). haha
I think the snow is supposed to come this Thursday. They talked of getting it last weekend, but mostly just got rain and ice. Kansas seems to get our leftovers. Colorado was supposed to get up to 10" of snow this weekend, but only got 3-5 inches. It's supposed to snow again tonight into Thursday morning. We'll see. How is it by you?
My whole family (aunts, uncles, parents, etc.) is from Milwaukee. I think my sister and I are the only ones to be born somewhere other than the Milwaukee area. Maybe a cousin too. You haven't met her enough, but my mom still retains some of her Milwaukee accent. It's cute when she says certain words or phrases.
There's a new(?) art museum in Milwaukee. It's supposed to be amazing (the architecture of the building, at least, is). I've also heard the Dells are fun. I'm not actually sure what "the Dells" are, but oh well. :) Also, there is a music festival or something along those lines in the summer. Maybe I'll come to visit you then...if I have vacation time, what with all these weddings I have to go to this year.
Ooo, I'll have to check out the art museum. Of course, then there's Chicago too. Man I need a good job. I had an interview with Case/New Holland today though, so we'll see.
Wisconsin Dells, it's an amusement park, I think. Then there's Six Flags Great America. You should DEFINITELY come visit, if only for the cheese. ;)
Mmmm, cheeeese! You know though, California actually makes and sells more cheese than Wisconsin! They also are the largest farming state - larger than any of the midwest states! Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm..... haha
How'd the interview go? *crosses fingers and toes*
Do you usually work those nights? I tried calling yesterday. I left a message on Gabe's machine but I'm not sure if you could tell it was me. I've got a head cold and I may sound like a cracked-out ho.
ah... i've been okay, i guess. lotsa changes in my life, i guess. broke up with robert. lost a best friend [suicide]. met a new guy who rocks my insanely. trying to move back up to st louis at some point this year and then moving on from there. outside of THAT, not much. :)
Aw, I'm sorry to hear about you and Mr. Robert. I hope the break-up was amicable. Sorry about your friend as well. :/
Bravo for you. I hope you make it back to St. Louis; I know that's where your heart is. :)
Well, I have been employed as of October of last year. I am currently saving all my pennies for a car (hopefully I'll have a nice downpayment by October). After that, save more money and get the fook out of Dodge. I need to be back in zee Midwest before I turn forty.
Still with M. He gained corporate employment around T-Giving. Amazing how two people working can help mend a relationship. We were standing on no legs and I think we stayed together out of habit and love. Thank the gods we stuck it through, I would have hated to loose him during the rough patches.
Other than that, school is on the back burner until April. Then I try to get my stupid liberal arts (general) degree. Looking into online UOP courses since rubbing elbows with 18 YO's has gotten reallyreally old.
Anyway, hope all goes as planned for you. I wish you all the best, Thistle girl. Lots of love heading your way. *smooch*
It's good to hear that, the thing about staying together through the rough patches. We're so stressed out right now, fighting, picking at each other, and I'm sure it's because of money, mostly anyway. :/

Date: 2004-02-02 05:27 pm (UTC)Dood, we haven't even bothered to go to Chicago yet, what with the "no money" situation. We went to Milwaukee a few times though. Reminds me of K.C.
I heard KS was supposed to get 9-13 inches of snow recently. D'oh! ;)
I will call soon. Might be after I get back from San Fran though. We're trying to get something done before I go.
