I'm reading: Everything You Know Is Wrong, edited by Russ Kick
My New York Diary, by Julie Doucet &
Rebel Visions: The Underground Comix Revolution, 1963-1975, by Patrick Rosenkranz

I saw: Kill Bill, Vol. 2
And no, I can't decide which I like better. I think I actually like them equally, for different reasons. I can't wait until 2 comes out on DVD so that I can watch them both, back-to-back.

I'm taking: Acidophilus. (Haha, intestinal flora.) I seem to have "gut problems". And I like, and believe, the notion that so many people are lactose intolerant these days due to the "clean-seeking" chemicals we're bombarded with throwing off our bacterial balance.

My job sucks (more) now because: the call volume has doubled due to the Medicare Modernization Act. I can handle taking effing phone calls all day if I have a few minutes between calls. My mind starts to implode when the time between calls becomes 30 seconds to 1 minute. Then, then I want to kill.

Woulda quit reading books I already plan on reading (unless you plan on loaning them to me)?! Seriously, it makes me jealous. I've been wanting to read "Everything You Know Is Wrong" for a while now, but it's too damn expensive. Damn hardcover prices (for a freakin' paperback!). Damn low-paying job. Damn lack-of-bookstore-discount.

You know I hate libraries! Well, I don't hate them, I just fear them. HUGE phobia. HUGE!

Ohhhh! Damn.
They should have a service like Netflix, only for books. :/

Exactly! That'd be so cool! What a great idea! Let's sell it! (Because it'd be too difficult to set up ourselves).

The only problem with books is they are easily "breakable" unlike a movie. You can't dog-ear or break the spine of a movie. :P

But dooood, you can scratch the hell out of a movie, or break the tape in a cassette. I think it's totally do-able....problem is...Americans don't read no how.

I've been thinking about this lately. It would've worked better during the Oprah era, but we could probably make a go of it now. You carry all the classics and current bestsellers. Follow who's on Oprah, the morning show book clubs, people are reading those. When's the new Harry Potter book coming out? That'd be a big hit.

The only problem is, people "rent" movies. They are used to paying for something they aren't keeping. With books, people can already get them for free. They are used to the idea that if they pay for them, they get to keep them. We need to bank on freaks like me who fear libraries and are willing to pay the money to have the books delivered to them. Of course, I also like to own books. I want to keep them for myself.

Haha, funny, as I write this, there streams a Netflix ad down the side of my screen.
