blustockingI don't even want to update this right now, but I'll give you a short synopsis.
Last Tuesday, I quietly broke up with Ian. It was not born of an argument this time, so I do believe this is it...as I have no real desire to get back together. The last time he over-reacted to something was the proverbial "nail in the coffin". It is over. We still have to do the "exchange" thing, but that might be months, as he is still down in Southeastern KS. I only had one day of actual sadness.
Last Friday was my last day at my job. I voluntarily quit and feel much better for it. There is still stress, but it's not a debilitating stress. I have since found a part-time job at a real estate firm (starts Wednesday) and Borders said I was one of five out of 450. I will (most likely) be okay. The lady at the real estate firm is scary-excited about hiring me....this makes me do this: O_o
I am going to have some photography on display (at least one piece) during the Red Balloon To-Do, a local artwalk on October 23rd. I still have to learn how to mat, and get the damn things framed. But at least I'm doing something.
I have a book proposal to send in.
Some of us are seriously thinking of starting a local business.
I really need to get websites up, but I have very little skillz and I think I fucked up a connection with someone who can help me.
Classes are going well. Life Drawing is extremely fun and I love being in the Art & Design building. It has a characteristic smell of good days of yore. I'm a little worried about my English class (paper due soon), but right now, I get to read Jane Eyre for the 3rd effing time. Thank you KU.
I'm having a birthday/Halloween party on the 16th of October...so if you see this, and you live near, and I didn't email you...let me know.
Other than that, I feel queasy...because I'm an idiot, for reasons I'd rather not go into.
This too, shall pass.
