wow, twice in one day
Feb. 2nd, 2005 04:04 pmI feel better now.
I found a nice starter SLR camera on sale for $99. This immediately changed my mood.
I'm peeved about my painting class though. The instructor is entirely too deaf and, pardon me, but too old to be teaching. I feel very much on my own and in all actuality, I am. Which is fine, but I'd still like some instruction, as I've never painted with oils before. I've just taken to reading about it when I'm at work, asking my classmates, and tried and true, trial and error. Last night though, I went down to the wood shop in the A&D building and made my stretcher for my canvas. That was exciting and I love the smell of the wood shop. So yes, I'm going to be painting this. HA!
And I'll be turning in my change of major slip tomorrow.
Officially, I'll be on the Bachelor of Fine Arts: Expanded Media track.
Don't ask me exactly what that means, because as far as I can tell it's all just a hodge podge of artsy fartsy. Yeehaw.
My days are packed with meetings and projects, work and classes. This sucks, yet I like sense of accomplishment...it's a new thing for me. It does tend to put me on edge though, when I have so many things on the burner, things filling my arms and occasionally slipping from my sight. I want so many things done and I'm learning how to be okay with not having them done RIGHT NOW. After today though, at Borders, I really need to get this business thing moving. I cannot work for someone else.
