yupdate
Okay, so real quick....
I just met Neil Finn! You know, from Crowded House and Split Enz, more recently of The Finn Brothers. I LOVE NEIL FINN. He's in town for a show tonight and was walking down the street after I picked up my print from Fields. I yelled at my friend Kim, "That's Neil Finn!" and we deliberated whether to ask him for his autograph. So I drove around the block and we parked. I grabbed one of my Crowded House cassettes and a Sharpie and we went in search. I found him in a outdoor/bike store and he was soooooo nice. He was thoroughly impressed that I had a tape and wrote on it: "Hi Jill Tapes Rule", then signed his name. He was even nice enough to ask me what I was studying when I said I couldn't make it to the concert tonight because I had class. Plus, he looks good for an older gent. :D !!!
AND, I just got paid for a photo-illustration for Lawrence.com. It's going to be the cover photo and I'm super excited because this is the first paid work I've had. I'm even getting free tix to mc chris because I wrote one of my blog entries about the upcoming show.
I can't help but feel like things are coming together and that kinda scares me.
Have a tribute to self-love installation up in the Olive Gallery right now, and two photos in Art Guild show this weekend. I'll post the pics later. Right now, I'm very scattered.

I'm not really sure it matters what's being paid for, as long as you're bringing home the benjamins. Or Hamiltons or whatever. Congrats.
Furthermore, as a contributing stockholder in Shameless Bastard, Ltd., I say you should treat yourself to the concert. But that's just me.

Sadly, your donation went toward a textbook. Don't you feel special? :)

Textbooks, music, pinwheel sex toys... I figure it all goes to a good cause.
Let us know when the cover art comes out for all to see.
