huh. guess I've been absent from this here internets-space for awhile now.
For those of you who emailed me, I WILL respond soon, promise.

This semester I will: get internets at home, along with a new computer (making the PC-to-Mac leap) and....drum roll....A NEW CAMERA. Yes, yes, my Sony has served me well for 5 years now, but with 5mp becoming the norm, it's time to take a giant leap. I was thinking the Canon 30D or the Nikon D200 (so spendy), but...I think I've decided to stick with Sony since they just introduced a new, very affordable for what it is, DSLR, which seems to be giving Nikon and Canon a run for their money. Plus, it's 10.2mp.

So, enough of that. I can't concentrate properly since I'm doing a radio show right now, and playing a CD I picked up in Beijing. The guy told me he mixed it himeself, but there was either some miscommunication or it's just a bootleg. It's still good.

Contrary to plans for future purchases, I'm poor and I've foolishly decided to quit my job. Borders has fallen over the corporate ledge, officially, and too many good people have JUST left. It's not the same and the money isn't good enough to keep me there.

I'm not the most responsible person in the world sometimes, yet it usually works out. I'm beginning to think if it weren't for my wonderful parents, I would be destitute.

I have much to tell, between Europe and China this year, I've been overwhelmed and it's taking a long time to process, both pictures and memories.

I miss China.

Dunno that specific camera, but Sony's been doing some good things with their cameas, so it sounds promising. I'm a slave to Canon personally - The Rebel XD is is serving me well, and as I accumulate lenses when this one wears out I'll probably shell out for a more pricy body.

You're used to Sony optics at work, so I imagine it'll be what you want it to be - even when making that big a jump (I went from a 3MP powershot to the Rebel) it still has a distinctive look to the photos, so it'll probably be well within your expectations. Enjoy the camera and the full hard drive from all the photos [grin]...

All the reviews sound stunning...they took over some features from Konica/Minolta.

Mmmm, 10.2.

Sounds awesome, and my hard drive is crying in sypmathy for thousands of megabytes crying out in anguish, and then being filled.

Which makes the 250gb external hard drive I bought last year, all the more practical.

I just saw this and now I'm thinking I should transfer:

Yeah, compared with the awesome "Expanded Media" program I'm in (because there is no Photo major here and 3 whole photo classes to boot).

So yeah, yay for realizing that I should have gone to another school when I only have about a year left anyway. heheh. :}

Oh well, here's hoping self-teaching, workshops, grad school, and sheer talent will get me where I want to go.
