Guess what's awesome!

My nephew, part of the wandering herd of now 20-somethings, has decided since he's getting laid off and doesn't know what he's doing with his life and needs health insurance, that HE'S GOING TO JOIN THE AIR NATIONAL GUARD.

Oh, yes, there's some fucking health insurance for you. You're 20, with no kids, no wife, they're going to send you packing. And will he listen to any of us? Noooooo. He and his stupid friends know better. Nawww, they won't get sent over...certainly not with trouble brewing in other areas of the world and a trigger-happy fuckwit President. NO, surely not.

I swear to god...I have to find something else for that boy to do. I just don't understand how THAT is your go-to plan. And why 4 years? Why not 2? Why not NONE and you get another job and go to school part-time? Why is the possibility of dying the "easy option"?

America, Britain, we will eat our young. And if the roadside bombs don't get them, the apathy, depression, and debt will.

Apathy is just as obvious a symptom as ignorance. The time of revolution is past. Maybe something will happen during the off season of American Idol but I doubt it.

You know, all I argue that it is not the case that we are lost in a sea of capitalistic gloabal apathy. I for one believe that Marx's dialectic and his way to describe the mechanism of capitalism is more relevant than ever. He developed a scientific methodology aiming at discovering and understanding this kind of social phenomena. Rather, as a social criticism, Marx's dialectic is based on a concept of freedom that is different from the utilitarian notion of it. Thus, his explanations of economic categories are critical judgments of social relations that were based on their ethical-normative premises and are open to empirical social research. For this, I can illuminate Marx’s concept of freedom as a counterpart of liberalist definition of freedom and demonstrate that we are prisoners of the very societal freedom we have created. In other words, we have nowhere to go except further in to depts and cultural poverty due the simple fact that art and culture are in themselves just products. We must fight. Art is not a comodity and only we can do something to change and transfoOHHHHHHHHHH SHINNYer....what the fuck was I talking about...I'm thirsty. I need some soda. Oh did you hear that Paris Hilton is going to Jail? I wonder if she will wear the prison issued clothes or designer orange overalls.

But, but, it's both a serious and tongue-in-cheek commentary on our preoccupation with these things, right? RIGHT?! I mean, Hirst lovingly created it himself and will donate the VAST SUMS OF MONEY HE WILL COLLECT. Right?!

Oh shit. Somewhere, Damien Hirst has dropped his glue gun and looked around nervously.
