I haven't eaten anything, besides a piece of licorice, all damn day. But now, at 10pm, I have Chinese food and I'm sitting at work making up the 4 hours I lost last week. It's confirmed, I'm single.

Actually, I saw 2 movies today, both different, both good in their own respects, one better than the other...though I hate to admit it.

Got a haircut (which I'm very happy with, 3" off I think), looked at desks at Staples, went to the farmers market and got a pomegranate, some apple cider licorice, and some very good pistachios. Then Staci and I went to see Amèlie, which I adored. I can't tell you how much I love Jean-Pierre Jeunet. I think I will indeed name my feeshes "Jeunet" et "Caro". :) What an honor, eh? Speaking of Jeunet, I am going to buy tickets to both of these I think. :D This makes me very happy. What a collection of great films, and an appearance...nice. Anyway, Amèlie, yes, I loved it. Can't say anything more about it. I'd like to jab this fork into Roeper's eye more than ever now for calling her a "Parisian Ally McBeal", but otherwise...

Also saw Lord of the Rings, which I felt was visaully stunning, but lacking. I think it was the wooden direction and some of the actor's performances. But for a movie of something as intricate and lenghty as those books, it did well. A lot of the time, I simply felt as if I were there, on set, taking away from the magic...took me out of the story at points. But at other times, it drew me in very well. The first part of the movie was a little slow and obviously intended for those who have not read the books, which I haven't, but it still got on my nerves. There were a lot of names/words I didn't quite catch, but those that were of great importance were kind of shoved down your throat. All in all, a fine flick, but I think it proves I'm much more inclined to fall in love with the beauty and eloquence of Amèlie as opposed to the big-budget, CGI effects and all-out production of LOTR. Not that it was without story or meaning, but it didn't pull me in as much as I would have liked. I did really enjoy Liv Tyler (which I didn't expect), Sir Ian McKellen, and whoever played "Legolas"(looked it up, Orlando Bloom), and Cate Blanchett as well. I feel bad even picking on the movie, as I do recognize and feel that it is a good movie, but...Amèlie is a good film.

Man, I am suddenly sooo very tired.

p.s. Finally got a few rolls of film developed. Two were from Con(I think there are a couple more). I look HIDEOUS in all of the pictures. H-I-D-E-O-U-S. No, worse than what I usually think is hideous. I look bad and it made me want to cry. Beauty fades, I had no idea how rapidly. I know that if I work on my inside, I would look better outside, but it's hard to do when I see visual reminders such as these.

BAH!
