Hey nonny nonny.

I just got my "Angels Among Us" calendars (one for me, one for grandparents). My friend Katie painted one of the paintings in it (January) and was the original inspiration for the calendar. Proceeds go to Sept. 11th related charities.

Where to start....ah fuck it. You love it when I ramble and grumble.

Accident: Asshole is claiming his back hurts. Now I have to send the pictures we took to Allstate. Funny how he kept asking me if I was okay, which I was. Funny how when I asked him if he was, he said yes. People are assholes.

These past few days: Emily came into town on Saturday. :) I had fun and I'm glad she came. She worried that she was inconveniencing me, but it was nice to have her here. We went out to a club on Monday, appropriately named "Blue Monday". Dennis came with. It was at one of my favorite venues (ironically named Blue...it's on Las Palmas next to one of the best Italian restaurants ever, Micheli's) Cover was free, always a plus. I got a good buzz on with 5 cocktails and we danced unabashedly to a nice selection of 80's music. It was a good crowd. I might go back next Monday. The rest of the time we just kinda hung out. I made her watch "Office Space", which she loved and she got me a discount at Hot Topic. I bought a black vinyl dress for REALLY cheap and it actually fits and looks good. :) I also bought the Zim shirt I wanted and some buttons, a bag, and a corset-like top. I also bought a baby-tee with "Jack and Jill...Jill pushed Jack" written on it and a gothy, pissy looking chick on it. I'm a sucker for things with my name already on them. I thought I was going to have to wait to wear it, as it's rather small, but I tried it on and it looks okay. It makes my boobs look bigger. Then again though, I didn't have pants on when I tried it on and that can make all the difference. So basically, I'm glad Teabag came into town and I'm sad she had to leave. Teabag rocks! ;D

In General: I haven't eaten anything yet and the orange juice isn't making my tummy feel very full. Martha is taking all of us customer service peons out to lunch. I'm going to have pasta with chicken. Tonight I am going to the screenings of "City of Lost Children" and "Delicatessen" with Jeunet discussing his films inbetween. I'm going with Sara and al (the pirate). It's at the Egyptian. I like the Egyptian. I feel bad that I didn't tell Staci about it, but whattreyougonnado? Mike loaned us copies of his advance screeners (SAG Nominating committee). So last night I watched "Ocean's 11" and the night before "Vanilla Sky". I liked both. I liked "Ocean's 11" more than I thought I would and the same for "Vanilla Sky"...yet there's something unsettling about that movie. Something not quite right that I can't put my finger on. I did enjoy Penelope Cruz, which I didn't expect. She's quite charming. Way too skinny, but quite charming....perhaps because she played the role before, I don't know. I also have "Gosford Park", "Charlotte Grey" (which I wanted to read awhile ago), and Amanda has "Monster's Ball" which I will borrow later.

I hate orange juice pulp.

Emily and I got Chinese from Golden China on Tuesday night, ironically...here's my fortune:

"The current year will bring you much happiness."

AAAHAHHAHAHA...that's rich....*sigh*ahhh...that was a good one.

I'm still desperately, though cynically, clinging to the notion that things have to get REALLY bad before they get REALLY good.

I have a lot to do.

p.s. I redyed my hair last night. It looks fanfuckintastic if I do say so myself...and I do.

ooohhh

delicatessen is an amazing film. i had to run out and buy it after my now-husband and i saw amelie and he confessed he hadn't seen any other jeunet films. amelie was delightful, but delicatessen is far creepier. city of lost children was visually amazing, as well, but the characters didn't seem as personally engaging. i would like to see jeunet's commentary though!!!!
oceans 11 did surprise me-i was expecting it to really suck, compared to the original. i do love those rare times when hollywood surprisingly impresses me!
if you can find copies, look for Naoka Nozama's three film shorts, tokyo escalator, monkfish dreams, and the legend of the waterbreakers. very bizarre and kitschy...

Art and a nod to the work of Dr. Thompson!!
WHEEEEEEE!!!

Thankee!

Oh, the cookie WAS right! It made you happy in a sort of manic way for a few seconds.... That was this year too!!

BY GOD!! They know too much... I must find the source of their knowledge and suckle upon its teat. Yep.
Or maybe destroy it with prehistoric fear and loathing.

Have fun, ho-ho-ho

I hope all things accidenty go away.

I've been to Micheli's! I'm a super-wop, so I dug it good.

I didn't like Vanilla Sky much, though I surprisingly enojoyed Ocean's 11. George Clooney is dreamy *sigh*

I want to see Monster's Ball. Kate said "You just want to see Halle Berry naked" to which I replied "HALLE BERRY IS NAKED IN IT?!" So I now I want to see Monster's Ball more. Yeah, I'm a pervy dork. You can see it for naked Billy Bobs.

I want to say naked one more time: naked.

Did I fucking say 'George Clooney is dreamy *sigh*?!'

Shit fuck damn.

Sorry I babble so much ;)
