Conspiracy!

blustockingThe government is behind all of the medical advancements! They're trying to keep us alive so that we can pay more taxes! Damn if it doesn't all make sense now. ;)
I'm sick of putting on lotion, anti-wrinkle creams, and moisterizers. I'm sick of worrying about what I'm eating and if I should brush my teeth afterwards. I'm pissed off that now I feel supremely compelled to bring mouthwash, floss, and a toothbrush to work so that I never have to have another filling again, and of couse, the removal of my wisdom teeth. I'm irritated that I have to consider porcelain veneers because, apparently, I either had too much flouride as a child, or not enough. (my friend Shannon and I used to eat Tweety Bird toothpaste, so I'm guessing it was too much). Yes, that is a cosmetic thing, but still...I'm sick of having to work out every night because, dammit, I'm just not 19 anymore. I'm sick of having asthma and the general, slow, or not-so-slow progression towards decay. Why must this be an ongoing battle that only gets worse with age? Why not 70 years of actual LIVING and then, BOOM! You're dead. The worst part is, this isn't going to get better. Taking care of yourself is just going to be more time-consuming as you get older.
I'm bitching. It could be worse. I could be dying of some horribly painful, long-term illness, but I'm not. At least that would make more sense.
No wonder I grind my teeth.
