i think
I did a buttload of digital camera research a few months ago, so excuse my long post. I want to speeeeeeeak.
As far as digital cameras are concered, I like Olympus. The Camedia series are really cool, but the C-700 is a little older and though it does have the cool-ass 10x optical zoom, the image quality isn't as good as the others.
The Sony one is cool and easy to use, my friend Greg has that one. The image quality on it is really good, and the camera itself is a comfortably small size. The only problem is those damn memory sticks are really expensive and it only comes with an 8mb one. I noticed that it's kind of slow between, and sometimes before, shots, which is pretty frustrating at times.
The Nikon one is probably the best in terms of image quality and control, but they are notorious for being a lot more confusing menu-wise than the other brands. I think this one would deliver the best pictures once you figure out how to configure the options and shit to your liking. It's VERSATILE! But confusing.
wow
Hmm. Well, I do want some control. If I'm going to spend that much money, I want some of the features of a nice manual camera, as I can't afford to buy both. Why don't you go look at Gateway's site and tell me what you think the best options are for cameras under $525 are. Pleeeeease? I only put up those because they are the only ones in stock. :(

Hmmm...if that's the only downside, then maybe...hmmm. I think I should go and actually look at them rather than trying to do this all online. Sometimes, if it feels nice in your hands, that could be the deciding factor. This is a general rule that applies to MANY THINGS. XD HAAAAAAAAAhahaha!
