Book Recommendations for 9/1/02

--New Ray Bradbury
--Finally! Soooo happy.
--This might be interesting only to Angelenos. I love all of her work, especially Depth Takes A Holiday.
--I recommended this before, but it was very good.
--One of the BEST travel guides/maps I have seen in awhile. I'm a sucker for compasses.
--Clive Barker is going to be signing at our store. The next day, so is Carol Channing. I find this amusing.
--Travel AND Erotica! nice!

Bleeding Velvet Octopus?

Ha!

[identity profile] buscemi.livejournal.com 2002-09-01 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Someone's been hitting the search engines. :)

That was my old review zine. It was a lo-fi Factsheet 5, essentially. The title refers to an eight-legged piece of furniture that "bleeds" when you sit on it.

I sleuth when I'm bored at work. :)

Do you do anything with Soft Skull Press? My friend has a few books published there.

I see.

[identity profile] buscemi.livejournal.com 2002-09-01 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I stopped doing the small press thang a few years back. [livejournal.com profile] nihilistic_kid could give you the inside scoop, since he used to work there.
