Quick summary for last weekend: Drove to Wisconsin, had a remarkably good time, saw Eddie in Chicago, had remarkably good seat (2nd row), missed Ian muchly, went out with my favorite queers, thinking of moving up there.

Hey! I just met Ms. Ashe the other night at work! I was petting the doggie, and she came up, and MAN, is she short! She looked at the drawing I had done on one of the silly e-mails from crazies that we get, and she complimented me on my skillz. It was funny. And Ryan, the surly man of ambiguous job description, gave me his leftover sushi from his department's night out. I was pretty sure he wasn't too keen on me, but I guess he's just shy or something.

Anyhow, I gotsta have some Jill more oftener. You post and keep us happy, or we will storm your house and let loose the dogs!

How do like working there? I miss that place sometimes. Is Martha treating you okay or has she been on a rampage lately? So glad you got a job there - Jill said you were interviewing there but I didn't know if you had started or not. But yeah, I think the biggest surprise of Danni is how short she is. She seems much taller on the site. (P.S. Ryan is shy. Don't take it personal. He's great! As is most everyone else that works there...man, I miss that place, at least compared to my jobs since...)

Man, I think my niece is going to get married before I do. Her boyfriend gave her a promise ring already. >_< What the hell is a promise ring anyway, but a glorified engagement ring. Pff! ;)

Whatever. Promise rings are stupid. Of all the people I know who ever got a promise ring, not a single one of them actually married the guy.

I'm pretty sure they've had sex already...and the scary thing is, I won't be suprised when they get married. They practically are. It's okay though, I guess. Josh is a good guy and he fits in with the family. I just wish she'd live a little more, not that you can't "live" with a husband...but she's so young and I'm scared she'll get pregnant soon too. She's scary-responsible though, so I give her a lot of credit.

Yeah, that worries me. People making such a commitment so early in their lives. So much changes as a person gets older, not only where they end up but who they end up being as well. I'm certainly different than I was in high school and I think most people are. Plus, I think of my friend who got pregnant and married straight out of high school and I think of all the things she has missed out on. I'm sure she's happy, but I gotta wonder if she has any regrets. Your cousin may be scary-responsible, but hopefully she's smart enough to wait. If he's the right person, he'll still be there when she finishes college and has a better sense of self/who she is.
