I know, maybe this is silly, in an age of celebrity death and mass media, where we feel that we know these people but....I can't believe he's gone already. I don't even want to post the link because it's such a stupid fucking way to find out about the death of someone who's shaped you as a person, but....

Damn... I hadn't heard the news. That's a pall cast on the day.

It really was/is. I was surrounded by artists, mostly of the young type, and it seemed like any normal day to everyone. I know I shouldn't judge or assume, but it will be nice to be around people who understand the lost. All of this, and I know I didn't really know him.
