"She hated brushing her teeth the most. Because, inevitably, as she stood there absorbed in the monotony of cleaning, one single roach would scurry over her bare toes. It was as if he was lying in wait for this moment every day of his short roach life, hiding under the dark awning of the cabinets under the sink.
As per the ritual, and even though she knew it was coming, she would yelp, jump two feet back, and scream obscenities through a mouthful of toothpasty foam. She began to think she could even distinguish the faint sounds of what could only be described as "roach-like laughter" as the disgusting little beast scuttled off to tell his buddies...or, so that's what she thought he would do. Because that's what a man would do, and let's face it...men are roaches."

she should start putting her shoes on before brushing her teeth.

it's definitely a bit of a metaphor for women....people in general, but women in this example...those of us that are loudest and most upset by the idea of roaches being roaches are also the ones who refuse to put on shoes before they brush their teeth.

of course this example is for little things...such as "why doesn't he just *know* what I'm upset about. He should *know*!" well...why don't you just tell him?

It does NOT include such things as "well, if you don't want men to assault you, you shouldn't have worn that top, should you?" just wanted to clarify that.

Being male (duh), I like to read things where women think that men are complete twits and have no grasp of anything that is going on... That makes me laugh inside... Ok, maybe just a chuckle...

I don't think blu feels that way...I think she just thought it was a funny story.

Basically...

The other night, as I stood brushing my teeth, I remembered a time when a water bug ran over my toes...then this started flowing out of me. It went where it wanted to go, but I don't think men are roaches. :)

But I'm very glad that I got some comments. :D

I'm adding more to it, perhaps I'll post it later.
