When Eric and I were in San Francisco last month, we were walking around in search of coffee. He commented "It's so strange. I haven't seen a single starbucks since we have been here. I guess San Francisco is anti-corporate and perfers their smaller coffee shops."
I laughed my ass off. There was a starbucks right down the street when he said that. I made sure to point out every single one that I saw thereafter....the probably averaged on every few blocks, especially in the central business district.
I should have kept count. I would point at them and say "Hey Eric, what does that sign say? I can't read it from here" and he would tell me to shut up.
Yes, it's funny how, if you don't really pay attention, you don't notice how many Starbucks there really are. Once you have an eye for it, it's sickening. I just saw a new one this morning. Heh, they probably put it up during the night.
